Manistee National

Our two par-71 courses at Manistee offer you a chance to play two very distinctive courses. Each has its own separate personality and different challenges and tests. You can’t get bored here, and you’re certainly not going to leave without playing both Canthooke Valley and Cutters’ Ridge.

Our resort is surrounded by the trees of the Manistee National Forest, formerly a famous lumbering area where millions of white pines were cut down to help build the city of Chicago. In memory of that notable history, we have named our courses to reflect the heritage of the local timber industry. A “canthooke” is a hooking and pulling tool that tree handlers used to roll logs as they were taken down rivers to the lumber mill. A “cutter” was a lumberjack who felled trees.

Ridgeview Golf Club

Ridgeview Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 71 golf course located in Southwest Michigan in an area that has some of the best, affordable golf in the Great Lakes. The terrain is rolling, and some grape vines intermingle with the rough because the land was once used as a vineyard. It is currently in pre-redeveloped stage but is still a great play at a great value.

Medalist Golf Club - A Winning Course with Superb Scenery
